Chapter 8: Retro-fitting an Existing Site
It doesn't matter if you are working for yourself, as a freelancer, for a corporation, or even as part of a design studio, at some point, you will be asked to take an existing site and make it work on everything.
This may seem overwhelming, but is by no means impossible. In this chapter, you learn about choosing the proper layout, working with site components, and learning about things that should be kept in mind when going mobile.
Code samples for this chapter include HTML, CSS, and a couple of images to demonstate how a menu can be shown and hidden based on screen size as well as a modal window that resizes based on available screen space. Note that for the example code to work it must be running on a webserver and not double-clicked to open in a browser.
