Chapter 3: Working with Grids

A grid is not only useful when creating a graph or chart, it is a great tool that can be leveraged to help arrange elements, align content to fit inside of a region, and more importantly help your layout flex to meet the needs of the screen you are using.

Grid systems can be flexible and change sizes to fit your layout needs by using gutters and widths set in percentages that shrink and grow as space is made available, or they can be very rigid which makes them perfect for adaptive layouts.
